Embossed Birthday Card

Hello there and welcome to my blog! Starting this blog has been something I have been meaning to do for a long time, and it is exciting to finally have it up and running! For my first post I wanted to share birthday card featuring two embossing techniques.

I started out by cutting down a piece of dark blue cardstock to 4.25" by 5.5", then layered a slightly smaller piece of a lighter blue cardstock on top, leaving a very thin border of the dark blue cardstock showing. To get the textured look on the bottom two-thirds of the card, I cut out a piece of white cardstock and ran it through my cuttlebug machine using the Taylored Expressions burlap embossing folder.
